ADOT: WINTER STORMS HAVE CLOSED INTERSTATES AND HIGHWAYS IN NORTHERN ARIZONA. ROAD CLOSURE INFO: CALL 511, USE AZ 511 APP OR VISIT AZ511.GOV. DRIVERS SHOULD POSTPONE TRAVEL UNTIL THE STORMS HAVE PASSED. THOSE WHO CHOOSE TO TRAVEL DURING A STORM SHOULD BE PREPARED TO SPEND EXTENDED TIME ON THE ROAD IN WINTER CONDITIONS AND PACK AN EMERGENCY TRAVEL KIT.

From ADOT Emergency Management: For those trying to travel east-west through Arizona, use interstates 8 and 10. If you decide to travel in northern Arizona, make sure you have enough supplies such as food, water, and gas for long traffic delays. Identify rest stops in advance as well as gas stations, or hotels and motels in the region. Travel should be limited or delayed until conditions improve. DO NOT take dirt road detours to bypass closures. Check that your GPS is not taking you down a remote dirt road. These routes are unsafe in bad weather and can lead to you getting stuck. If this happens, it may take hours for Search and Rescue to arrive.
